8-year-old hit in face by cellphone on rollercoaster

Evie Evans, 8, was thrilled to go to an amusement park over Fourth of July weekend — but ended up with 10 stitches on her confront.

At Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, Evie went on the Twisted Colossus roller coaster with her mom, Della White.

On the journey, she was hit involving her eyes by an item, which turned out to be a cellphone.

White advised Fox 11 that Evie’s confront was bleeding terribly and when she tried out to explain to a journey attendant, they disregarded her.

“It was genuinely scary,” Evie told NBC Los Angeles. “I was screaming and crying.”

It was not right until a fellow passenger advised them that they saw a mobile phone fly out of yet another rider’s arms that they realized what experienced hit her head.

White’s other daughter, Eden, stated a male arrived up to them immediately after the incident looking for his cellphone, reportedly telling them to “stop freaking out” and that it was not “a massive offer.” But he promptly left right after viewing Evie’s injuries.

Evie’s father, Josh Evans, said they handed the cellphone above to 6 Flags workers and experimented with to file a report with the nearby police. Having said that, he was shocked to come across out “no crime was committed” so no action would be taken.

“You are not meant to leave” the scene of an accident, Evans advised NBC LA. “I considered it was illegal, just like a strike-and-run.”

6 Flags informed Fox 11 the park’s coverage “strictly prohibits all free articles on rides,” and that “guests have to stick to all penned and verbal recommendations for safe riding.”

“I guess it was a friendly way to say that they are not using duty for what occurred,” Evans said.
